Community Fellowship Church is a local body of believers committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. We are a vast mixture of ordinary people who share the common desire of being changed into the likeness of Christ. Ephesians 2:10 states, “We are God's workmanship.” Another translation says, “We are God's work of art.” In other words, in every body of believers God wants to produce an artistic masterpiece that will glorify Him!
We believe our first priority in life should be to seek God and His rule in our lives. Together, we desire to be a caring community of Christians who are growing in their love for God and for one another. We welcome those who hunger and thirst after the Living God to join us as we seek to grow in His grace.
We believe CFC is only one part of the entire body of Christ in the Staunton area: “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body.” (I Cor. 12:12) We believe we are to respect and cooperate whenever possible with other born-again believers in our community. Our pastors regularly have fellowship with other local pastors, and we have cooperated in community-wide evangelistic efforts. We recognize God’s work in Staunton and beyond is much larger than our local assembly.
